How it works. The HUG N HOLD is a harness that
fits around your child's chest and shoulders. It is made
of soft cotton flannel, so it is very comfortable for the
child and is fastened into place quickly and easily using
Velcro.  The
harness is then buckled around a stiff backed changing pad.
The weight of the child on the pad, in combination with
the gentle restraint of the harness makes it difficult for
the child to roll over. It can be used on any stiff backed
change pad, including those in public rest rooms. Extra
cardboard backing can be used to stiffen the back of the
harness for added security.

The HUG N HOLD can be used on babies and toddlers
of any age, but like any form of gentle restraint, best
results are achieved when started at an early age. Babies
come to accept the harness as part of the normal nappy changing
routine. Older children whom have been used to rolling freely
may make a fuss to start, but they soon accept that they
can't get away. When children get close to two years old,
they can understand cause and effect, and understand that
