and audio monitor, so that you can not only hear, but see

-full audio function, which will activate alone when visual
monitoring is turned off (eg when you are sleeping).

to better determine if your baby is safe and comfortable.
For instance, you can check if your baby is in a safe sleeping
position, or is covered by blankets. You can better tell
if they need to be comforted, or left alone to try to sleep.
This is an invaluable aid to good parental monitoring,
allowing your baby to be left alone to sleep, but still
have the close supervision they need at that age. As with
all monitors, they should not be used, however, to replace
sensible parental monitoring and we recommend that parents
should always remain near enough to attend to an infants'
needs in an emergency.
